The guest speaker and entertainer is musician Kyle Alden.  Kyle will speak about, and perform from, his collection of songs inspired by the poems of Irish poet W.B. Yeats. One can hear strains of American and Irish folk music in these original musical settings of Yeats' poems. He will share his thoughts on this collection of poems, how he came to select them and how he gained permission of the Yeats estate to perform them. Sunday, May 20 at 4:00 PM: Kathleen Curtis Wilson will talk about her highly acclaimed book Irish People, Irish Linen. ILHS events are free for ILHS members, $5 suggested donation for visitors. | The Irish Literary & Historical Society (ILHS) of the San Francisco Bay Area provides an open, nonsectarian, and nonpolitical forum for the presentation and discussion of Irish and Irish-American culture. The ILHS holds monthly meetings at which invited speakers explore Irish arts, literature, history, society, and culture.
